The Team
Who We Are
Hi! My name is Lindsey and I am a full-time CRNA and mom to a 3 year old boy who, let's be honest, runs the house. Hobbies-I have lots! Backyard chickens, a dog named Ollie who requires many walks, and I love a great murder mystery on Netflix before bed. I am a devout coffee drinker, yogi, and will throw some weights around. Anything to move my body is a 'yes' from me! Ask me anything! I am a pretty open book. If I've learned anything from these retreats, it's that we all have very similar passions, pain points, and perspectives, and linking arms together is pretty empowering.

Kate Lowe
CRNA, yoga instructor, teacher
I'm Kate! I've been practicing as a CRNA since 2013. I am a wife and a mother to 2 boys, my oldest has special needs and has been my greatest teacher. Through my family's journey, I've become passionate about wellness: nutrition, movement (yoga), and stillness (mindfulness).
I am a 200hr RYT yoga instructor at my local studio, teaching a couple classes per week. I love helping people connect with their bodies through movement and breath.
I am a lecturer at the UNCC Nurse Anesthesia Program, and my inner geek secretly loves to dive back into the textbooks and literature.
I love sunshine, hiking, oat milk lattes, big earrings, a McGrath, belly-laughs, meaningful conversations, and women supporting other women.
Favorite quote: Stop seeking out more storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight.

Tara Tignor
CRNA and teacher
Hi! My name is Tara and I'm a full time PRN 1099 CRNA. You'll hear me long before you see me, but not at 05:30 when I'm savoring my coffee! I was blessed with a surprise pregnancy over 40. He is now 6 and full of laughs, pranks, and big emotions. I am a true extrovert – meeting new people refuels me. I delight in connecting with and encouraging people. I especially love to make people laugh! I love water on my toes and sun on my back with a breeze on my face. Add good music or a good book and I'm set! What I'm proud of personally is the growth to where I am today. I can listen to and honor my body either with a casual walk or a heavy lift session. I am so excited to get to meet you sister CRNAs, lift some stress from you, and empower you!

Summer Slanda
CRNA, yoga instructor, teacher
Hi! I’m Summer, a Yogi CRNA of 13 years currently trying on a Chief hat for size at a small community hospital . I became a mother at the age of 41 via IVF after several years of fertility challenges. My household is complete with a loving husband, clever daughter, never enough goldendoodle, sassy cat and sweet hamster! I discovered the incredible mind-body benefits of yoga during anesthesia school and beyond excited to share the practice with “every body” because Yoga is for everyone. Whole Soul Retreats was a transformative experience for me in 2022. I am grateful to support this mission of female CRNAs empowering one another in so many ways.
